The Berlin Aids-Hilfe (BAH) has been committed to campaigning for the social acceptance of HIV-positive people, human rights, participation, inclusion and solidarity for more than 30 years now. Our services include counselling and escorting people, as well as the opportunity to join encounter groups for HIV-positive persons. In addition to an educational programme for young people, the BAH also offers the (rapid) HIV-test or testing for sexually transmitted infections anonymously in the counselling centre.
From our wide range of services we would like to describe some of the ones that experience has shown are utilised by people who either speak no German at all, or only very little.
Most of these are provided in the BAH counselling centre at Kurfürstenstr. 130 (near Nollendorfplatz) in the district of Schöneberg. Our premises are barrier-free. Addresses of other venues are shown at the end of the respective entry.
You can either just drop by or call +49 30 8856 400 first for information. English and German are spoken by all receptionists.
The other languages spoken by different colleagues at reception are
Polish, Russian, Spanish and French.
